Have a Vespa Wedding!

October 26, 2006

Today, my wife & I celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, so this is a timely post. =)

Yesterday, I made this blog entry on our website (WeddingsAtWork.com) about getting hitched with style on a Vespa. Cool as it may sound, the idea isn’t new at all as clearly revealed by this picture below:

Fashion may change but the Vespa remains a classic! Vespa & weddings seem to have a long history together and their natural connection transcend all cultures. Take a look at these wedding images from around the world:

The last image was taken in Intramuros and was included in a gallery of wedding photographs which appeared in a desk calendar we produced back in 2005.

Even recent issue of Metro Weddings which featured the wedding of Manuel Legarda (former guitarist of Wolfgang and DRT) to Sian Lagdameo showed the newlyweds riding the groom’s Vespa.

So you considering your own Vespa wedding someday? Aside from the ride, there are other ways to incorporate this theme to the other wedding details; from the cake…

  16. Nice post.

  17. I recently watched an episode of a TV show called “I Propose”. The future bride always dreamt of a wedding in Italy, but since the guy can not afford to bring her to Europe (they are US-based), he just thought of bringing Italy to their home. He proposed in a gondola make shift and he brought her there using his Vespa. How sweet!
