Art Vespa - Imagine Vespa
November 22, 2006I’m not good in drawing. I really do admire those who are gifted with this kind of talent. But thanks to the computer and a little PhotoShop, I can now do some graphics, layouts or manipulate and edit images to express whatever creativity I have in me.
Below is an example of my computer art:

The doodle and layout is not my original but a spinoff of an existing one. If it looks vagely familiar, it is because the artwork is based on the poster layout of one docu-movie about a famous artist. Wanna see the original artwork?
Yes, it is John Lennon’s doodle as used in the poster art and album cover (OST) of the movie, “Imagine
.”

For “my” Vespa doodle, all I had to do was lifted everything from John Lennon’s original doodle. I simply manipulated the images by utilizing the ’stretch’, ’skew’, ‘distort’ and ‘rotate’ fuctions in PhotoShop so I could adopt some semblance of a Vespa somehow. As you may have noticed, I used John’s eyes for the wheels; his hair for the legshield and front mudguard; rotated his nose to serve as the seat & cowl; and I over-stretched the lips and make it the handle bar.
I really had fun doing this and am personally pleased with the result. I decided to make ‘Art Vespa‘ a regular occurence in my blog to “showcase” the things I do when I have nothing better to do.
Art Attack!
