My Vespa in Threelogy
Threelogy is one of the more popular wedding & events videographers this side of town. But the three guys behind the company aren’t just my collegues in the wedding industry, I’ve known them since the 90′s back when they were fresh grads from UST. Bong & CJ went to BayanTel for their first job and became my office barkada, while I regularly saw Jon loitering in the company premises as he was a regular ‘fetcher’ of female officemate. He had gone fetching others since.
While these three handle videos professionally, they have also recently dipped their fingers into digital photography as a hobby. As they say, if one has an eye for art, it would always show no matter what medium.
During our recent meeting at Fernwood Garden — a popular covered garden venue for weddings — I requested them to bring a still camera for a possible photo-op. I knew the place has that rare red telephone box (it’s possibly the only one in the Philippines!) and thought it would be great to have shots of an Italian scoot with this familiar British icon.

shot by CJ. It’s not his camera, but look at the result!
Here’s another shot by CJ…

mukang lumuhod pa yung photographer. Feeling expert.. hahaha!
After CJ, it was Bong’s turn to handle the camera. Here’s a couple of shots he took that day.

How do you fit a Vespa in a phone booth?

Jon — the ‘photo-primadonna’ — didn’t want to handle his camera that time saying that the day’s too bright. Talk about ‘attitude,’ hahaha! But when I went to their office 2 days after to pick up the CD of the photos, he looked outside and decided it was time. He asked me to drive my scoot slowly, and here’s the result. He did this shot with just one click and without any filter for the natural motion-effect.

hmm… I guess he’s not called a ‘photo-primadonna’ for nothing
They are convincing me to buy my own camera. But with friends like these around, I’d rather be IN the picture.
Threefic shots!

uy, a post dedicated to us! how sweet!
btw, the next time you go to our office, we’ll wait for two 9 year old boys who just got out from school (with backpacks and everything) in a mini cruiser with no helmets on. cool kids? irresponsible parents!
I just had to post these, otherwise, baka ‘di na maulit.
Yung two kids, how did you know their age? You asked them?
I suddenly felt guilty na wala akong helmet sa pic. I should have put a disclaimer na maski mukang mabilis sa pic, Pyke was running very, very slow. Putcha, di pala excuse yon! hahaha
just an estimate. they look really young. naka-uniform (claret, i think) & backpack pa. imagine how busy maginhawa st. is around 5pm, magka-angkas sila & runs alongside hundreds of tricycles (jon’s fave subject) & cars. an accident waiting to happen. kukunan namin pag nakita namin ulit.
