Art Vespa: Logo Studies (Vespa Club of the Philippines)
So much to blog about, too little time!
Since last weekend was devoted exclusively to activities during Vespa Attack II, the beginning of the week has been crazy. I had a newspaper deadline to beat, emails to reply to, contract to review and regular website chores to attend to. On top of that, last Sunday’s Sierra Madre ride resulted in a flat tire (that experience is another blog entry in itself!) so I also had to get my spare tire vulcanized. Had no choice but to have this Vespa blog take the pillion seat for the past few days.
Anyway, during last Saturday’s Vespa Attack party held at the Streetscape of the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, an important announcement was made by the organizers. Finally, the Philippines has it’s own Vespa Club! Woo-hoo!
The following day — before & after the out-of-town ride — I got the chance to chat with Rico (the club prexy) and learned that the group still needed a logo. The following day,
I submitted to him these two studies and he asked me to share it with the rest of the members as we wait other submissions for consideration. I’m sharing my two designs here.

If you are a Pinoy Vespa enthusiast and wants to formally join a club of like-minded riders, join the Vespa Club of the Philippines (VCOP)!
Now I gotta get ready for another out-of-town ride to Caliraya sa we take off by 5.30 this morning! Glad I had just enough time to post this one.
Naaliw sa out-of-town!

John, has the VCOP heard anything at all from the Vespa World Club (the international sanctioning body that was formed when Piaggio dissolved the FIV)? It sounds like maybe you received info from them (making the club official), but it seems the Vespa Club of America has heard just about nothing from the VWC in the last year. I’m pretty disappointed, the FIV was pretty useless but at least historic, the VWC seems even more useless.
I vote for the cog, it’s tradition!

Hi Bryan!
Nice of you to drop by.
As far as I know, VCOP hasn’t contacted the VWC because the founders got a feedback that a membership does not necessarily translate to an actual support/benefit from them (VWC). You feedback pretty much confirms it.
Thanks for the vote to the cog design. Hope to see more of you ’round here.
i want to join vcop.
Hi Kurt! Just logon & visit http://www.vespaclubph.com to get to know the peeps behind the club. Se you there.
