Rider’s Profile-Iskuterista Series: Manu Sandejas
Here’s one cool Vespa guy I have yet to meet. I knew who he is being the Editor-in-Chief of Scooterista — a local magazine that promotes the scootering lifestyle. And my being in the business of weddings, I also know that he is married to a celebrity (YES! that info is courtesy of another magazine the title of which I can only hint about
). I got Manu’s email from Bimbo, his brother-in-law. You see, the local Vespa scene seems to be separated by only three degrees; meaning, if you don’t personally know a certain rider, then you definitely know some other rider who knows that person.
So I was able to send an email his way. But it did surprise me how accomodating the guy is. He even helped me in getting the email addresses of the other Vespa riders I wanted to feature but have no way of contacting. Thanks, M!

By the way, Manu’s pics in this post are from EuroScoot’s Photo Gallery. Let’s get to know more of this famous Scooterista.
rider’s name: Manu Sandejas
also known as: geezer
ride: ’90 Vespa PX150e
homebase: Manila
job: ad agency copywriter; Scooterista editor-in-chief; Digital Tour (Studio 23) co-host

more about the rider: (from his bio in Digital Tour website)
Manu Sandejas enjoys the advances in technology through his many gear-heavy hobbies! He loves cameras (both digital and non-digital) and uses them to document his travels. But his favorite gear by far is his Vespa scooter which takes him around the metro in style.
Cruising the digital world is also one of Manu’s specialties, and you can count on this scooterista to give you a fun tour of the best of the web and more.
Through our email exchange, Manu says he was born to be on two wheels. Aside from his Vespa, he also enjoys mountain biking. He proudly proclaims: “When I hit the lotto jackpot, I’m going to buy myself a big ass dual sport bike. And in the end, I might no longer go mountain biking nor off-road motorcycling, but my Vespa will remain with me. This wasp’s a keeper.”
Scooterista… it’s all about the ride!

Very nice. When scooterista published an announcement in MCP searching for correspondents, writers, contributors, etc., I emailed them of my interest to join the gang. Only, my mail was sent back. I think there was an error in the email.
Dream come true! Just met Dr. Scoot and Manu!
