Off-Vespa: Zip Drive!
Every Holy Week, our family (my folks, siblings, in-laws and all the grandchildren) troop to CaliRana — our family’s lakeshore resort situated at Lake Caliraya in Laguna. Though we have a big family, this annual 3-day holiday is not exactly a reunion as we regularly see each other at least once a month for any reason to celebrate.
There are lots of outdoor activities in the resort and I usually go swimming with the kids on late afternoons. But not this year since I chose to simply laze around the main guest house to hangout and chat with with my siblings and in-laws. I wasn’t even able to try the jet ski my dad recently acquired. Felt just plain lazy!
But my wife brought a pair of zips for us to try. Since regular scootering on a Vespa is hardly a physical activity, I’m obviously in much need of an exercise so I was willing to give it a shot. Besides, it looks so easy to learn. Truth is, the simplest move is as easy as playing with a yoyo. But it get’s tricky once you try to cross your arms or attempt to do any other fancy moves. Though it may be not as hard as learning how to surf or something. It would be cool to learn some tricks with it and it would surely be a great cardio excersise. Just kidding. I imagine I looked like a clown using those so I won’t let a cam catch me with those. My nieces giggled whenever I try to do an exhibition! I’ll practice some more in the meantime and set my sight on those zips with flames to impress you guys.. hahahaha!
