The Levi’s Fashion Show (I’m too sexy for my backride…)
October 11 marked the grand opening of the Levi’s Philippines flagship store in newly opened Trinoma mall. It opened with a bang by staging a very unique fashion show. When the event organizers got in touch with me looking for six Vespa scooters and riders, I didn’t had a hard time finding volunteers — I, being one of them!
Who wouldn’t? It’s a rare chance to parade a scoot in a show, the rider gets to have a gorgeous babe as his backride and he even gets paid for it! Franky, I would’ve agreed even if it was for free!
Here’s the complete lineup of the Vespa boys who took part in the show:

And here are the Brazillian babes who modeled for the brand:

Check out how these models backride on a Vespa. No two poses are alike, I tell you.
In order of appearance…

That’s direkpal who’s working, not as a director, but as a “model” this time

Edmund says he’s ticking-off “to be a model” in his things-to-do-before-I-die wishlist

LEGS!!! Obviously, the free-size shirt Levi’s lent us barely fitted me. hahaha!

Dax wasn’t so happy that his partner turned her back on him

The pointed heels of Louie’s backride left a mark on his cowl of his vintage GS. ouch!
We brought the models in front of the audience as they went inside the mall lobby to strut their stuff not on the catwalk, but on multi-level escalators! Although the girls didn’t kiss us as they parted ways with us even just for show… or did they?
The show was directed by Raymond Villanueva while the whole event was organized by eNav for Levi’s. Special thanks to Butch Jaurigue for inviting the boys to participate in the show and for sharing these pictures. Pare, it was really our pleasure. Thanks to Xheng as well for patiently coordinating with all of us.

Hey John! Nice one. I just loaded your pics from my fone at my flickr. Click away mate. Thanks.
Did any of you even had the balls to ask for their digits? Hehehehe…
Nice one guys, Cheers!!!
uy, thanks Edmund! Silipin ko later.
Icon, we have the balls alright, but not the toungue. None of us speak Portugese.
nice write-up john!
kudos too to the photographer.
Now that’s rough work. I bet you were so focused on keeping the scooter on a good riding line that you forgot all about the backrider. Well, maybe not.
Out here in the sticks the only backriders I have are groceries, bags of sand, and the ocassional Christmas tree….
It’s best you didn’t get any numbers. It would just interfere with riding.

WOW
a once in a lifetime opportunity
kaya lang sana naka helmet
lahat ng riders
Steve: a hard part is keeping our balance while at a very slow pace while having a gorgeous model behind us. We even have to make a U-turn on the sidewalk. Wasn’t able to do it without putting down my foot.
Mox: Thanks!
Jakrabbit: Baka wala pang 20 meters ang tinakbo namin at very low speed sa covered walk ng Trinoma. O.A. na pag na helmet pa kami.
