Vespa Spotting is about being seen even at night!
December 3, 2007Here’s a great apparel that any rider should have, especially those who ride at night. Reflectorized vest are available in hardware stores in malls (i.e. Ace Hardware, Handyman, True Value, and The DIY Shop) and they’re not expensive at all. This may just proved as your most practical riding gear. While helmet provides protection for serious head injury, a reflective vests helps prevent the accident altogether by making the rider more visible to other motorists on the road especially at night time.
I already have one but I like this custom-made reflectorized vest posted in Vespinoy better since it has the Vespa logo so I’m ordering one.

This item is made of a breathable mesh material so wind can pass through while riding making it more comfortable to use. It has a zipper in front and a pair of adjustable nylon belts on each side so it would definitely fit most body size. High-quality 3M reflective strips were used for utmost visibility from dusk ’til dawn. The picture above was taken with natural lighting. To appreciate how it looks at night when headlights are pointed at it, here’s a picture of the item using flash photography.
Since it’s custom-made, tag price for the item costs more than those readily available in the hardware stores. Whichever you decide in getting, all reflectorized vest serves one purpose: to save lives!
