Topic Off-Vespa: Does this song sound familiar?
I like pleasant surprises. That rule applies especially when I hear a great cover version of a song which I really hate. I blogged about of one such song previously. Here I go again.
I won’t give clues just yet. Just try to recall if you’ve heard it in the recent past. Listen up. 
Know where you’ve heard it before? If not, maybe reading the lyrics or knowing the songwriter may refresh your memory.

The first time I heard Renaldo sing this acapella in the auditions for American Idol, I found it pathetic. It was pitchy and out of tune! But after hearing the above cover version, I found new respect in this Filipino’s talent… or lack thereof. hahaha 
If his crappy performance inspired other people to come up with good music, then I’m all for it!

Glad to see that you have a new topic here. I don’t watch AI but saw Renaldo in the news..struck me as a reincarnated 70′s Elton John. His song is more like a poem but w/ meaningful, heartfelt lyrics. Wala lang magandang arrangement. The cover gave it a new life. Btw, who sang the cover?
