Even Rudolph and the rest of the reindeers need a break once in a while. So when Santa Claus needs to rush and deliver some remaining gifts to the nice kids all over the world in time for Christmas day, his rides a scooter.
This is the station ID which BBC America came up with when they introduced their new logo and tagline early this year. It’s very different from the three little branding blocks that audiences worldwide has gotten used to. But I would say that the new logo is “younger,” witty, less serious, and very Brit (veryMOD in particular). The spot involves motorcycles and has a twist on this familiar American culture. When I fist saw the ad above mentioned in 2StrokeBuzz, I went straight to YouTube to look for other interesting ad the company has made in the past.
There is this one-minute TV ad for BBC Radio which involved a powerhouse cast featuring great music legends together with this generation’s music sensations. It’s sort of an Alternate Reality. This ad won several awards including the Gold in Best TV Ad category in the 2007 Creative Circle Awards and recognition for its direction, editing and computer graphics/special effects.
Since this coming Sunday is already Mother’s Day, allow me to share this awesome photo of a Vespa and its young in the wild. Yes, you heard it right. Not because they’re machines doesn’t mean aren’t able to take care of future Vespa generations. How do you suppose those new models come into being? It precisely because of this inherent maternal instinct that our Vespas are able to take care for thier owners. Neglect them and they will surely conk up. Below is the rare photo of the Vespa and its calf. I really do hope National Geographic will be able to make a documentary about these elusive creatures in their natural habitat.

I intended this post to be fun, but I felt a pinch of sadness by the time I finished. May this bring smile to the faces of grownups who still know how to imagine like a child.
